What is mindset coaching for kids?
Mindset coaching helps children understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions work together. Through fun stories and activities, kids learn important life skills like confidence, resilience, self-belief, and managing emotions — skills that set them up for success in school and beyond.
What age group is this for?
Coaching is best suited for children aged 6–14, when they’re developing habits and beliefs about themselves and their world. That said, the skills benefit children of all ages — many families have seen results with teenagers too.
How can I tell if coaching is right for my child?
If your child is struggling with confidence, self-doubt, big emotions, or friendships — or you simply want to give them lifelong tools for happiness and resilience — coaching is often a wonderful fit. Our free clarity call is a great way to explore this together with no commitment.
Are sessions one-on-one or in a group?
I offer both. One-on-one sessions allow for personalised attention, while small group sessions are wonderful for practising social and communication skills in a warm, supportive setting.
How many sessions will my child need?
It depends on your child’s needs and goals. Most children complete a programme in around 6 sessions. Before you commit, I’ll prepare a detailed session plan tailored to your child so you know exactly what to expect. Many families start with one package and return for further themes as needed.
Can sessions be online?
Yes — I offer both in-person and online sessions. The learning experience is equally effective either way. For online sessions, parents just need to ensure basic stationery is available. I’ll send a reminder three days before each session with exactly what’s needed.
How often should my child attend?
I recommend weekly sessions, though fortnightly works for some families. Ideally there shouldn’t be more than a 14-day gap between sessions to keep the momentum and learning consistent.
Do parents take part in sessions?
Parents don’t need to attend, but I keep you fully in the loop. After each session I share a short summary so you can support your child at home and reinforce what they’ve learned.
How long is each session?
Most sessions last around 60 minutes — enough time for learning, reflection, and fun activities without overwhelming your child.
How many mindset skills does the programme cover?
The full Adventures in Wisdom® curriculum covers 27 mindset skills. Download the full curriculum overview from the resource library above to see every skill in detail.
Why does story-based coaching work so well for children?
Children don’t respond to lectures — they respond to connection, creativity, and play. Stories allow children to see themselves in characters and explore real-life challenges in a safe, engaging way. Paired with discussion questions and hands-on activities, the lessons stick and children naturally apply them to their own lives.
